I served as teaching assistant for several microbiology courses including General Microbiology, Microbiology of College Life, and Public Health Microbiology. I was involved in designing activities for discussion section, giving guest lectures, independently and co-leading leading discussion sections, mentoring undergraduate teaching assistants, meeting with students to discuss study skills and course content, writing exam questions, and grading.

BIOMI 1100: Microbiology of College Life

As a TA in the Spring 2023 semester I gave a guest lecture on acne and dandruff, designed discussion section activities, taught discussion sections, met with students, and wrote exam questions.

BIOMI 2900: General Microbiology Lectures

As a TA in the Spring 2022, 2021, and 2020 semesters I gave guest lectures on applied microbial evolution and adaptive immunity, designed discussion section activities, created a lesson using 3D-printed cell models to teach cell size, taught discussion sections, met with students, and wrote exam questions.

BIOMI 2500: Public Health Microbiology

As a TA in the Fall 2019 semester I gave a guest lecture on bacterial sporulation and anthrax including a flipped-classroom activity, graded exams and homework assignments, and organized review sessions.
