Cornell Prison Education Program

Undergraduate Course, Five Points Correctional Facility, 2022

I taught BIOL 101: Essentials of Biology in the Fall 2022 & Spring 2023 semesters. The Cornell Prison Education Program provides courses leading to college degrees for people incarcerated in upstate New York State prison to help students build meaningful lives inside prison as well as prepare for successful re-entry into civic life. Cornell Center for Teaching Innovation Fellowship

During my fellowship from Fall 2020 through Spring 2022, I designed and implemented teaching workshops, a university wide teaching conference, and other programming to foster teaching excellence, innovation, and networking across the university for graduate students and postdocs. Graduate Teaching Assistant

Undergraduate Course, Cornell University, Department of Microbiology, 2019

I served as teaching assistant for several microbiology courses including General Microbiology, Microbiology of College Life, and Public Health Microbiology. I was involved in designing activities for discussion section, giving guest lectures, independently and co-leading leading discussion sections, mentoring undergraduate teaching assistants, meeting with students to discuss study skills and course content, writing exam questions, and grading.
